a title sequence for my favorite childhood film.
the problem
The prompt for this project was the word “fable,” and we had to incorporate tactile elements into our design. The prompt led me to my favorite childhood stories, which then led me to the first Narnia film.
I used light art as my tactile element. I wanted to capture the childhood wonder in ordinary things, like the magic of sunlight through a glass, or finding snow in the back of a wardrobe. This whimsy is a main theme of the film. The resulting fractal patterns allude to the never-ending winter that the children encounter when they travel through the wardrobe.
